Neccybot was an old project of mine back in the day when I played AO. It was developed out of my love for the game, and mainly for my org “Quetzalcoatl” out of pure bordom and learning how to make a php based bot for Anarchy Online.

Though I did intend it for public release I never did get around to releasing a final version due to various real life consuming up all my time, even though a lot of work went into it.

Once upon a time Neccybot had a homepage, with a few screenshots and some basic info, but after several website redesigns it got moved into a different folder on my website, and therefore became a “dead link” out there, forever lost. I had been looking through my website stats and I noticed that a lot of people were trying to access the page where the neccybot once was, and generating tons of 404 errors on my site, so I have decided to put it back up.

I still have all the Original files, however im sure AO has been patched so much that a bit of modification might be neeed, as well as its database updated, and since I do not know the intentions of my Neccybot visitors I thought I’d write this page so at the very least I could get some comments on it.

Did you come here to d/l neccybot, or maybe to see its source code? In any case leave some comments, if theres the demand for it I will dig out the source code for distributation and provide a link to it here. it was an old project, and I learned a lot from it in a very short time, and i guess I am somewhat proud that it still is generating some web traffic to this day.
