Insurgency - HL2 Mod

Many of you source players out there may know what this is but some of you do not. Insurgency. This mod is a realistic shooter pitting the Iraqi Insurgents against the forces of the USMC. What makes this game unique, is that they go the extra mile or kilometer(if you are living anywhere besides the US) to make this game as realistic as possible. There are absolutely no crosshairs, no health bar, no radar, no ammo counter, no auto - reload, and it is almost impossible to shoot if you dont look down your sights. It is much like COD4’s gameplay mode with no crosshairs but this is more realistic. Also, you can pretty much die in one or two(if you are lucky)shots. The animations are amazing and so are the weapon and character models.
 The game is currently in it’s second beta stage but you can go on over to the site to try it out for yourself.

Sounds good, will try it. Now that Smoke has deserted PC-world for Console-land it’s nice to see the source games you have presented to us. keep it up!

Just played the mod, sure is difficult to start with. It’s one of those games where it requires you to know the map, you can find yourself looking in the direction of your team-mates and mistaking them for enimies. That’s anotherthing, the player models look quite similer ans especially with the smog and haze of the far-east you find yourself killing your team alot :/
This has the potential to be a popular mod eqiuped with a single-click iron sight which many steam games miss, and the maps need a re-design in the sense of bigger, more open space battlefields rather then the source default of small narrow corridoors with linier routes. Worth checking this one out

I am in console land because all my latest games are on the 360, Plus my PC needs an upgrade BAD, I might stick in a couple Graphic Cards reviews as I pick what I’m going to upgrade to.
