Procrastination
post a commentPosted by SmokestormX at 12:48am
I’ve had a pretty busy week this week and I’ve been meaning to find a second or two in which to update my blog, but as more time passed I wanted to find a longer period of time free as I then had more things to write about, until I found myself in this situation where the blog has not been updated and all the things I wanted to say no longer hold any relevance, that’s procrastination for you.
The video above was shown as a little advert before my cinema showed Indiana Jones 4, which I watched just this evening and man the first half is an Amazing film but then it decides to take a left turn into the realms of science fiction and fantasy departing from the traditional Indiana adventure and I found myself quite disappointed. All the negative reviews I had heard thus far complained that Harrison Ford was looking too old, but I don’t think thats true at all , sure he’s older, but the date in the film is ten years later anyway.

*rubbs eyes clean* “YES! an update” i cry. I’ve been hearing some negative feedback on the new Indy film too, The BBC showed the trilogy over 3 weeks and it finished the other day and i forgot how much of an adventure they are.
The Holy Grail story works well for any tale with an aim to reach their own representitive of it, with Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade completed the clasic story wonderfully.
So far the Indiana Jones series has had 3 incarnations with great titles -
Indiana Jones Raiders of the Lost Arc
Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
But Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull has that sort of awfull post-modern ring to it like the up and comming James Bond movie “The Quantum of solace”. what ever happend to great titles like Goldeneye, Diamonds Are Forever and Casino Royale. Words like “qwantum” and “skull”, in my eyes, shouldn’t be included in the title of great series.

I was personally hoping for the title…Indiana Jones and the Zimmerframe of Atlantis. Or mayhap Indiana Jones and the Incontinance Pants of Doom. Perhaps Indianna Jones and The Golden Pension Book in The Lair of the Geriatric Minotaur would be a little much.
