I’ve wanted to code a game for AGS for quite some time now, i’ve been following it for quite a few years, over the different incarntations of the engine and though I have started many games for it and learnt to code in it very well , I have never released a proper game in it, only a bunch of demo games that never came to pass, instead i helped the AGS community a lot by making a bunch of tutorials, some code snippets here and there, some joint game ventured with m0ds and progzMax, and an Irc quote database site taken over from teh annie ._. , so I thought I would enter one of the competitions to get me back in the swing of things.

OROW is a competition , it stands for One Room One Week, the point is to create a very small one room game in one week, however its already started and I havnt. But not to worry I’m starting something tonight, and though i’m pretty sure it won’t win it will still let me get used to the updated version of AGS.

And for any of you that are not familier with Ags and love to play adventure games, head on over there now! There are an absolute ton of adventure games readily available for download, some of which are at commercial standard and have an outstanding amount of sweat and blood poured into creating them.

A good example of a OROW game is Automation made by Mr Colossal, and is a sparkly little gem and for me it definatly sets a standard of a OROW game, not that I’ve even looked at any of the other games, though I am looking forward to Monday 29th when the competition ends and I get to play a whole bunch of new short adventure games.
